About Kalya

Kalya is a ceramicist based in Brooklyn, NY. She creates ceramics that emulate the movement of the surf and the textures of the tide pools. She holds a BFA from RISD's Industrial Design program. After graduating, Kalya designed for local manufacturers such as Roll & Hill and boutique interior design studios. Kalya formulates glaze chemistry, creating textural biomorphic glazes, and applies them to classical forms.
