About
Kalya O'Donoghue is a Brooklyn-based ceramicist. She graduated with a BFA from RISD's Industrial Design program. Kalya worked professionally as a furniture and lighting designer before founding Kalya OD Studio. She engineers her own textural glazes and integrates steel chainlink into the ceramic pieces giving them a heavy yet delicate feeling. Kalya draws inspiration from the movement of the ocean surf and the textures of tide pools.
